Last night’s storms brought quite a wake-up to some residents across our area. Frequent lightning, hail, and damaging wind gusts accompanied storms strongest south of the Marquette area, and a good amount of folks are still without power this morning. For this afternoon, the main cold front is expected to pass through bringing cooler temperatures and breezy winds behind it. These winds will lead to dangerous swimming conditions east of the Marquette area and the NWS office has issued a beach hazards statement in effect from 6-10 PM this evening. Tomorrow temperatures will struggle to reach the 70 degree mark in many locations, but temperatures back into the mid 80s will be in store for Friday and Saturday. Another frontal system will lead to more storms late Saturday and these could linger into Sunday as well. In the meantime, enjoy the cooler temperatures dry weather tonight!
