These next few days will all feature similar weather. High temperatures today through Sunday should top out right around 80 degrees in the greater Marquette area with low temperatures dropping into the lower 60s. Mostly Sunny skies should prevail this weekend as well, however a few more clouds and possibly a shower or thunderstorm will be possible for the afternoon and evening hours. Storms will be isolated in nature, and many locations will likely stay dry over these next three days. Temperatures burst into the upper 80s for Monday, signaling instability in the atmosphere. A thunderstorm or two may be possible late Monday, but the main threat arrives for Tuesday. The storm prediction center has placed western portions of the Upper Peninsula in a 15% risk for severe weather on Tuesday, and this does not happen often for our area. Plan ahead for travel and outdoor disruptions heading into Tuesday and stayed tuned for updates as this forecast may change. Enjoy the calm weather and nice temperatures this weekend before things ramp up early next week!
