We could see some scattered showers and thunderstorms develop across central and western portions of the U.P. this afternoon lingering into this evening. While the severe threat is low, some storms may produce heavy rainfall, frequent lightning and gusty winds. After a mild night, temperatures rebound to around 80 for Saturday afternoon. Showers will be scattered about for the afternoon hours and depending on how much clearing occurs, we could see a second line of thunderstorms develop for the evening hours. Sunday will feature gusty winds behind the frontal boundary that moves through late Saturday, also bringing along with it much cooler temperatures with high temperatures struggling to reach the 70s. Heading into early next week, Monday is looking dry and cool; but models are coming into agreement that showers and thunderstorms will be likely for Tuesday afternoon. Stay tuned for forecast adjustments and be safe out there!
