NMU Financial Aid Office reminds students to fill out FAFSA form

Today is Giving Tuesday, a global generosity movement that encourages giving in any way you can. Today's outreach at Jamerich Hall on Northern's campus helped establish relationships and build the mindset of giving of oneself. Grow and Learn Community and Youth Development hosted this informational program at NMU today. The goal was to bring awareness to the countless opportunities available to give back. Taylor Olson-Brutto, Outreach Coordinator for Grow and Learn, says giving means different things to different people, but it all boils down to thinking of others. "We are celebrating our local campaign, which is Give 906 we support and help all the nonprofits across the up through our local campaign called Give 906," said Olson-Brutto Olson Brutto says the people of the Upper Peninsula are very generous.

The 1975 graduate was on campus as part of an external strategy meeting to assist NMU in its long-term strategic planning. The chat was moderated by University President Brock Tessman who took questions from students in attendance. Schultz talked about his success with Starbucks, and his business philosophies. A common theme throughout the event was the changing face of business, and what it takes to succeed.
