As the auto industry continues to electrify, it’s also becoming more efficient at energy consumption and redistribution. This is becoming a large behavioral shift in the way people are used to filling up their cars. Driving up to the gas station is so rehearsed in our daily lives, but the balance is changing.
Rhombus Energy Solutions is one of the leaders in making this change possible. Zero-emission levels are one of, if not their main goal and it’s a big mountain to climb. Executive Manoj Karwa (shown below) talked with me about how their DC fast charging works.
DC’s are “Direct Current” electric vehicle chargers. These have enough power to recharge an EV battery to 80% in anywhere from 15 to 45 minutes, depending on your capacity. Rhombus’s Bi-directional vehicle to grid charging is so reliable they say it’s self-sustainable.
