MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Ore Dock Brewing Co. Took over downtown Marquette this afternoon for the festival of the Angry Bear.
Hundreds packed the sunlit Spring Street as folks gathered for craft beer, food trucks, games, and live music across three stages – including some beers that have been aging in ‘hibernation’ for over a year, finally cracked open for the occasion.
Organizer’s say that it’s fantastic to see how the fest has grown through the years, and how great it is to gather the community in such a way: “It started out with just a small tent, kind of right in front of the brewery,” says Amanda Courchaine, the “master of bearimonies” and event manager. “Since 2014, that tent has evolved into this amazing street festival. It’s amazing to get the community out and enjoy the end of winter in such a way.”
The Angry Bear has calmed down, and gone back into hibernation – until next Spring…
