Eight points in February
HOUGHTON, Mich. – For the second straight month, Michigan Tech’s Jack Anderson has been named the CCHA Defenseman of the Month.
Jack Anderson paced conference blueliners with eight points across six games in February, scoring five goals with three assists and finishing the month at plus-3. Netting two power-play goals and one game-winner, he had 22 shots on goal, while blocking 11 defensively and averaging a nation-leading 26:57 minutes per contest.
In his first season with the Huskies, Anderson has played all 36 games and tallied 24 points on 11 goals and 13 assists. He ranks third in the nation in goals by a defenseman and 14th in points by a blueliner.
Tech is ranked No. 20 this week and is 21-12-3 overall. The Huskies clinched home ice for the CCHA Quarterfinal best-of-three series and will host Bowling Green for a second straight weekend in the No. 4/5 matchup. The puck will drop on Friday at 7:07 p.m., Saturday at 6:07 p.m., and, if necessary, Sunday at 5:07 p.m.
