HARRIS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZMQ) – An Upper Peninsula substitute teacher has been arrested following accusations of misconduct with students.
In December 2025, the Menominee County Sheriff’s Office school resource officer received a complaint regarding a substitute teacher and minor students at Bark River-Harris School. As a result of an investigation, a Sheriff’s Office detective arrested 58-year-old Timothy Charles Brandt of Gladstone on February 24, 2026.
Brandt has been arraigned in the 95 A District Court on two counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct. He remains lodged in the Menominee County Jail on a $5,000 cash/surety bond.
