Fourth time this season
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech’s Jack Anderson has been named the CCHA Defenseman of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday. It’s his third straight weekly honor, fourth of the season, and Tech’s 16th overall.
Jack Anderson scored three goals and added an assist in the CCHA series at Lake Superior State. He scored two power-play goals on Friday and then tied the game with 1:55 left on Saturday to force overtime while also adding an assist.
Anderson is on a five-game goal streak where he has six goals and four assists over the span. For the season, Anderson has skated in all 34 games and has 23 points on 11 goals and 12 assists. He ranks third in the nation in goals by a defenseman and 12th in points by a blueliner.
Tech improved to 21-10-3 overall and 16-5-3 in the CCHA over the weekend and is ranked No. 16 this week in the USCHO and USA Hockey polls. The Huskies have a bye week before wrapping up the regular season on Feb. 27-28 against Bowling Green at the John MacInnes Student Ice Arena. Jack Anderson, Trevor Kukkonen, Joe Prouty, Stiven Sardarian, and Kasper Vaharautio will be honored on the ice after Saturday’s game on Senior Night
