He was Miami’s Senior Pass Game Coordinator in 2025
MIAMI, Fla. – Former Michigan Tech wide receiver Bobby Slowik has been promoted to Offensive Coordinator with the Miami Dolphins, released Friday.
Slowik enters his second season with the Dolphins and has been promoted to offensive coordinator. He was the team’s senior pass game coordinator in 2025. Slowik has 12 years of NFL coaching experience.
Prior to joining the Dolphins, Slowik served as offensive coordinator with Houston for two seasons (2023-24), where he helped the Texans reach the Divisional Round of the postseason in back-to-back years for only the second time in franchise history. In his first season as Houston’s offensive coordinator, Slowik directed an offense that ranked in the top half of the league in total offense (342.4 yards per game), while finishing seventh in passing yards per game (245.5).
That year, Slowik oversaw the development of the rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud and helped him compose a historic rookie season, leading the NFL in pass yards per game (273.9) and being named the 2023 PFWA Offensive Rookie of the Year.
Slowik spent six seasons in San Francisco, where he served as passing game coordinator (2022), passing game specialist (2021), offensive assistant (2019-20) and defensive quality control (2017-18).
During his time in San Francisco, the 49ers made three playoff appearances (2019, 2021, 2022), winning the NFC Championship Game in 2019 and advancing to Super Bowl LIV. Slowik started his coaching career as a defensive assistant in Washington (2011-13).
He and head coach Jeff Hafley were on the same 49ers staff from 2017 to 2018.
Slowik, a native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, played at Michigan Tech from 2005-2008 starting 10 games at wide receiver his senior season, compiling 43 receptions for 603 yards and four touchdowns.
