Ketterson competed from 2016-2021 as a Wildcat
MARQUETTE, Mich. — Former Wildcat nordic skier, Zak Ketterson, was just named as a member of the US Olympic cross-country ski team.
Ketterson hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and was with the Wildcats from the 2016/17 season through the 2020/21 season.
Ketterson was one of the best collegiate skiers in the nation during his prime, as he earned multiple All-American honors, All-Conference honors, regional victories, and CCSA Skier of the Year. Ketterson was also named the male recipient of the 2020-21 Gildo Canale Outstanding Senior Award at NMU in recognition of his Nordic skiing excellence and leadership.
Since graduating in 2021, Ketterson has progressed into a professional skiing career. In his time, Ketterson joined the U.S. Ski Team, winning a World Cup relay gold, and competing at World Championships and World Cup events for the United States.

The women’s team is led by Jessie Diggins, who will compete in her fourth and final Olympic Games as the most decorated American cross-country skier in history. She is joined by returning Olympians Rosie Brennan, Julia Kern, Novie McCabe, and Hailey Swirbul, alongside first-time Olympians Lauren Jortberg, Kendall Kramer, and Samantha “Sammy” Smith.On the men’s side, Olympic veterans Ben Ogden, JC Schoonmaker, and Gus Schumacher return after competing in Beijing in 2022. They are joined by first-time Olympians John Steel Hagenbuch, Zak Ketterson, Zanden McMullen, Hunter Wonders, and Jack Young.
