GWINN, Mich. (WZMQ) – Laughter filled the Up North Lodge in Gwinn as Raise the Woof brought a night of comedy to the community.
The show, hosted by UPAWS, was held as a fundraiser to help cover food, shelter, and veterinary costs for pets currently under their care. Throughout the night, guests lined up for snacks and pizza, while raffles were held across the venue, giving attendees several chances to support the cause.
Two headlining comedians took the stage, keeping the audience engaged and the room buzzing with laughter from start to finish.
Raise the Woof is typically held in Ishpeming, but organizers decided to bring the event to Gwinn this year to reach a new audience. They say moving forward, the show will rotate every few years to different communities across the Marquette area, continuing to raise awareness and support for local animals.
