ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – The City of Ishpeming held its annual Christmas parade Friday evening.
Held every Friday after Thanksgiving, hundreds lined the sidewalks of Main Street for plenty of candy, lights and even a visit from Mrs. and Mr. Claus themselves. Emergency vehicles and local floats drove through just as the wind and snow picked up, perfectly kicking off the Christmas spirit. Local families say the winter season doesn’t get much better than that.
“It couldn’t have been more perfect with the snow falling,” said the Singer family of Ishpeming. “It was just a beautiful evening all together, and everything just turned out so great.”
After the parade, the town square Christmas tree was lit, before kids had a chance to meet with Santa and show him their Christmas lists.
