MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – A portion of Pioneer Road is temporarily closed to traffic.
Beginning the afternoon of November 18, the eastbound lane on the southern side of Pioneer Road will be closed for construction activities at the natural gas access point, which is located just south of the Pioneer Road and Altamont Street intersection. A temporary three-way, timed traffic signal will be installed to direct traffic from both directions on Pioneer Road and from Altamont Street. Both streets will remain open to traffic during the lane closure.
The eastbound lane of Pioneer Road is expected to reopen by Wednesday, November 26. The public is advised to use caution when traveling through this area and to be alert for construction and advisory signage.
