Kingsford grad had 112 assists in two matches
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech freshman Madelynn Kreider has been named the GLIAC Setter of the Week.
Madelynn Kreider averaged 12.44 assists per set and 3.11 digs per set in a pair of home matches over the weekend. She tallied a season-best 69 assists in Friday’s 3-2 win over Davenport while also adding 13 digs. Kreider added 43 assists and a season-best 15 digs against No. 18 Ferris State on Saturday. She added four kills, three blocks, and an ace on the weekend. Kreider ranks seventh in the GLIAC in assists per set (8.33). Her 69-assist match is the most by any GLIAC player this season and the third most in NCAA Division II in 2025.
Tech is 10-15 overall and 7-7 in the GLIAC and wraps up the regular season this weekend, hosting Saginaw Valley State on Friday at 5 p.m. and Lake Superior on Saturday at 2 p.m.
