243 yards rushing and four touchdowns against Davenport
MARQUETTE, Mich. – Another week, another dominant performance from Northern Michigan running back Noah Dobert. The redshirt freshman has been named the GLIAC Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season following his dominant effort in Northern’s 47-45 four-overtime win at Davenport on Saturday.
Dobert once again stole the show, rushing 33 times for 243 yards and four touchdowns while adding the game-winning two-point conversion in the fourth overtime to seal the victory. His 243-yard outing matched his career high from earlier this season and helped earn the team’s first victory at Davenport.
The marathon victory tied the longest game in program history and marked Northern’s first win over Davenport since 2021.
The GLIAC’s leading rusher, Dobert continues to turn heads on the national stage. He ranks fourth in Division II in total rushing yards (1,250) and fifth in rushing yards per game (125.0). His two 243-yard performances both rank inside the NCAA’s top 15 this season. With 11 touchdowns, he’s also produced the most rushing scores by a Wildcat since Jake Mayon’s 14 in 2018.
This marks the second time Dobert has earned the league’s weekly honor this year. He first took home the award in October after powering NMU to a 42-21 win over Roosevelt, when he rushed for 243 yards and three touchdowns as part of the Wildcats’ school-record 538-yard rushing day.
