ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Wilson man has pled guilty to drug and firearm charges, stemming from a traffic stop earlier this year.
In February, Tristan Halfaday was one of two men arrested after law enforcement pulled over their vehicle in Bark River Township. Inside the vehicle, police found a bag containing nearly 200 grams of cocaine, more than 100 grams of fentanyl, ecstasy, ketamine, and other drugs. Halfaday was also discovered to be illegally concealing a handgun.
On Thursday, Halfaday appeared in court to take a plea agreement. He pled guilty to two counts of delivering controlled substances and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. The counts are punishable by a combined total of 32 years in prison or tens of thousands of dollars in fines.
Halfaday will be sentenced in January.
