Marquette County November 2025 election results

Polling locations in Marquette officially closed at 8 pm, but if you were in line by then, you could still vote. "The polls, even though they closed at eight, we allowed those folks that were in line to vote. So it did finally finish up at about 20 after eight or so," said Talsma.

MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – Election results are in for Marquette County.

In the race for the Marquette City Commission, Sally Davis and Michael Larson were able to win the two seats on the ballot. Davis won 48 percent of the vote (2,525), and Larson received 39 percent (2005). They beat out Matthew Luttenberger who received 13 percent (653) of the vote.

In the race for a seat on the Marquette Board of Light and Power, Carrie Statt won the most votes with 47 percent (1348), folllowed by Margaret Brumm with 31 percent (891), and Doug McMahon with 22 percent (648).

In the race for two uncontested seats on the Negaunee City Council, Jon Becker received 464 votes, and Jeff Plummer received 405 votes.

The Chocolay Charter Township Public Safety Millage Proposal has passed with 62 percent (990) voting yes and 38 percent (609) voting no.

The Gwinn Area Public Schools Bond Proposal has once again failed to pass with only 41 percent (1,147) voting yes and 59 percent (1,649) voting no.

It was a different story in Ishpeming as the Ishpeming Public Schools District No. 1 Bond Proposal passed with 58 percent (592) voting yes.

The Powell Township School District No. 12 Operating Millage Proposal with 57 percent (147) votes for yes and 43 percent (112) voting no.
