Two goals Friday, game-winning assist Saturday
HOUGHTON, Mich. – Michigan Tech forward Teydon Trembecky has been named the CCHA Rookie of the Week the conference announced on Monday.
Trembecky tallied three points in Tech’s non-conference split on the road. He scored twice on Friday at Clarkson, finding the back of the net in the second period and again in the third on the power play. Trembecky added the primary assist on Isaac Gordon’s game-winner on Saturday at St. Lawrence. Trembecky leads the Huskies with five goals and ranks second on the team with 10 points. He leads CCHA rookies in goals and ranks third amongst all NCAA newcomers.
Tech is 5-3 overall and gets back to CCHA play this weekend against rival Northern Michigan. The two teams will meet in Houghton on Friday at 7:07 p.m. and in Marquette on Saturday at 6:07 p.m. Select seats are still available for Friday’s game, with general admission tickets also on sale.
