MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – More than 400 attendees from across Michigan’s Upper Peninsula came together in style on Saturday at Northern Michigan University’s Northern Center for the Superior Health Foundation annual gala.
Now in its 14th year, the elegant evening raised at least $80,000 for two vital local nonprofits: Trillium House and The Mariucci Family Beacon House.
Guests were treated to dinner, dancing, a silent auction, and a golden ticket raffle.
The night was both meaningful and festive. Beacon House CEO Mary Tavernini-Dowling, says the help they receive from Superior Health Foundation is crucial to their mission.
“We have the privilege of offering comfort in so many ways and that’s only possible with the help of the donations that we receive, and Superior Health Foundation plays a very, very huge role in that,” Said Tavernini-Dowling.
Funds raised will help build a new kitchen at Beacon House, and fund Trillium House’s the Dan Mazzuchi care fund, which assures everyone quality end of life care..
