ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – One person is dead following a potential stabbing in Escanaba.
At 7:18 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13, Escanaba Public Safety was dispatched to a residence within the city for a report of a possible stabbing. Upon arrival, officers located a victim inside the home. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was arrested and has since been taken into custody in another state. According to the Public Safety Department, there is no ongoing threat to the community.
Escanaba Public Safety thanks Rampart EMS, the Delta County Sheriff’s Office, the Michigan State Police, the MSP Crime Lab, Delta County Central Dispatch, and other supporting agencies for their assistance in this investigation.
