Grab your documents and head to the Honor Credit Union Community Shred Day

NEGUANEE, Mi. (WZMQ) – The Negaunee Honor Credit Union is holding its annual Community Shred Day tomorrow, Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the back parking lot. This drive-thru event provides the community with an opportunity to dispose of secure documents while helping the environment safely.

At this event, community members drive through and drop off up to 10 boxes, bags, or documents. Then, the Honors team members take the documents to Country Mile Document Destruction, where they are shredded, recycled, and reused.

“The event takes place Thursday, August seventh, at the Negaunee Honor Credit Union from 5:30 to 7:30, and then members or anyone in the community can just come and line up, we’ll take from their cars for them, we kinda just handle it,” Melissa Taggart, Honor Credit Union employee.

By taking advantage of Free Community Shred Days, residents can safely declutter their homes while protecting their personal information and reducing waste in local landfills. This Community Shred Day is just one of ten events sprinkled throughout April to September. To catch the next one, go to the Negaunee Honor Credit Union website.
