ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – A Wilson man arrested on multiple drug charges earlier this year took a plea agreement in court Thursday afternoon.
During a traffic stop on February 16, police found nearly 200 grams of cocaine, more than 100 grams of fentanyl, ketamine, and other drugs in Colton Brunette’s car. In April, the County Prosecutor dismissed the case against him until all evidence was able to be presented in court.
Brunette appeared in court on Thursday for a preliminary examination on a charge of possession of ketamine, a two-year felony. He pled guilty to attempted possession of analogues, which is a one-year misdemeanor. As part of the agreement, the possession charge against him was dismissed and the case will not go to trial.
Brunette’s sentencing date has yet to be scheduled.
