MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Wednesday night farmers market in downtown Marquette didn’t disappoint. Dozens of vendors were on hand to offer everything from handmade jewelry to fresh produce and flowers. Last week’s market had to be moved indoors due to rainy weather, but tonight the sun was out and so were the crowds, as people filled the 100 block of West Washington Street. In our vendor spotlight, we take a look at Rock River Farm from Chatham, who grow beautiful flowers.
“We’ve been doing this for about 18 years. We’ve got about five acres of flowers. Altogether, we’ve got perennials, annuals bunch of greenhouses. Yeah, so we provide flowers to basically all of Central UP,” said Rowan Bunce.
Rock river farm also offers a pick-your-own option where flower lovers can visit the farm and pick their own bouquet from the acres of flowers
