MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson will be speaking at peter white public library this Thursday evening, promoting her new book “The purposeful warrior: standing up for what’s right when the stakes are high”. Benson will be reading excerpts from her book as well as holding a question and answer session in the library’s community room starting at 6:30 pm. The tickets are free, but can only be obtained in person at the circulation desk.
“She’s more going to talk about what unites us as a state as a people, as a nation, than what separates us. And if you read her book, that’s pretty much what her book is about. It’s not about what I believe, versus what you believe it’s more of like what’s best for us,” said Marty Achatz of Peter White Public Library.
