MARQUETTE COUNTY, Mich. (WZMQ) – UPDATE: At 3:48 p.m., the Chocolay Township Police Department made a post on Facebook stating that all lanes had been reopened.

A portion of M-28 in Marquette County has been temporarily closed to traffic.
According to the Chocolay Township Police Department, an accident occurred at approximately 12:25 p.m. on Monday near Nagelkirks. Shortly afterward, the Michigan Department of Transportation announced that the eastbound and westbound lanes between US-41 and Riverside Drive were closed due to a crash.
Chocolay Township Police are looking for witnesses to the accident to aid in the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call (906) 249-4040.
