MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – With the first week of July bringing Independence day, comes a wave of visitors to the area. Businesses boom all around, and in Marquette, the Wednesday Night Market is commonly no stranger.
“It’s been beautiful, we’re always busy,” said Peace Pie Co-Owner, Patty Barton.
The Wednesday markets often see less produce available than on Saturday morning markets, hosting a majority of craft vendors, such as The Twisted Bloom.
“This is my second market, I brought a bunch of bouquets here,” said Owner, Audrey Mcintosh. “Business is doing pretty well.”
Mcintosh says she enjoys seeing people coming together for these events.
“It brings a lot of different people together,” said Mcintosh. “I really like seeing how they walk around, and I like talking to people.”
With summer now in full swing, and the Fourth of July right around the corner, this month is shaping up a great market season. For more information about the Wednesday Night Market, visit downtownmarquette.org.
