MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The 68th annual Kiwanis Chicken BBQ at the Lakeview Arena is on Sunday from 11:30 A.M. to 2 P.M.

Each ticket is $18 and includes one dinner roll, a drink, a dessert, and a BBQ chicken. There is also a raffle to win some money, each raffle ticket is two dollars.

The BBQ is the Kiwanis Club’s biggest fundraiser, all money raised is donated to Marquette’s non-profits with a focus on the youth. This fundraiser supports the Boys Scouts, YMCA, and its equipment, providing children with food for weekends, and the list continues.

“So, if you’re interested in supporting Marquette non-profits and getting some pretty tasty chicken BBQ, our fundraiser is a good stop for you,” said Nicholas Emmendorfer, Marquette Kiwanis Club President.

The Marquette Kiwanis Club is also being recognized as the fastest-growing by percentage and individual numbers for service clubs in the area and is always looking for more members. Suppose you would like to join the Kiwanis Club message the Facebook page. There are also weekly meetings on Thursdays held at Big Boy that are open to the public.
