Gladstone Farmers Market opens for a busy 2025 season

GLADSTONE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Monday, the Gladstone Farmers Market opened their season with an outstanding turnout. This year brings back many returning vendors, such as Gladstone Berry Farm, who say this is the largest opening day they’ve seen in five years.

“This is probably the biggest I’ve seen it since we’ve started,” said Gladstone Berry Farm Manager, Parker Grzybowski. “It’s looking up to be a good year, and we’re looking forward to it.”

Multiple stands were sold out in just over an hour, including new vendor, Yellow Dog Sourdough. Owner Kim Plourde said she had a fantastic first experience, with plenty of support from the community.

“People have been very supportive, I’ve done very well,” said Plourde, “I sold out of my stuff, so that is something I’m very proud of.”

This summer, Gladstone Downtown Ambassador Samantha Gaudino is coordinating her first farmers market season, and so far, has made quite the first impression.

“I’ve been working for the City of Gladstone for a little over six months, but this is my first market season,” said Gaudino. “So all new for me, it’s a learning curve, but so far been great and I hope it keeps up.”

She says there’s no better way to show support to local businesses.

“These vendors pour their heart and soul into their small businesses,” continued Gaudino. “And honestly, coming to support them each week means more to them than they can express.”

The Gladstone Farmers Market will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. every Monday through September. It can be found at 907 Delta Avenue in downtown Gladstone.
