IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Oscar G Johnson VA Medical Center will be hosting five town hall events in the UP on May 14 -16. Locations include American Legion, VFW, and VVA posts in Hermansville, Gladstone, Christmas, Marquette, and Gwinn. The events aim to educate veterans and their families on VA services and changes to veteran healthcare, and to answer any questions they may have.
“For us the biggest piece of this is really that one on one interaction,” said Oscar G. Johnson Medical Center Director John Shealey. “Where they can ask any question they want and if we have the answer immediately we will give them that answer and if not we’ll get back with them and make sure that we do that follow up.”
