GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZMQ) – Another defendant involved in the sextortion plot that caused the death of a U.P. teenager has been convicted.
Kendall London, Jr. of Georgia pleaded guilty in federal court yesterday to money laundering for Nigerian sextortionists, Samuel and Sampson Ohashi.
London faces up to 20 years in prison for his role in the sextortion scheme that led to the suicide of 17-year-old Jordan DeMay from Marquette.
An indictment against London, Jr. and four other co-defendants, all from the United States, says the group laundered money for the Nigerian nationals who targeted teens on social media and attempted to blackmail them
The remaining three co-defendants in the case, Georgia residents Jonathan Green, Jarell Williams, and Brian Coldmon, Jr., are scheduled for change of plea hearings in the coming days.
Sentencing for London is set for July 21.
