MARQUETTE, Mi. (WZMQ) – For decades the Northern Michigan University Carer Services has been putting on the Job Fair. This is an opportunity for students of all standing to connect with employers and find opportunities in part-time, full-time, summer jobs, and internships.
This year almost 100 employers gathered in the NMU Northern Center’s Ball Room to interest NMU students. There are a lot of employers who come back year after year, however the NMU Carer Services always tries to add something new. If an employer would like to register for the next job fair, reach out to the NMU Carer Services and a blank application will be sent to you before the next fair.
There are 3 job fairs put on by the NMU Carer Services, one in the spring and one in the fall both campus-wide fairs with opportunities for all. The third fair is department-focused, focusing on opportunities in specific departments like health care, engineering tech & manufacturing fair, construction management fair, and biology fair.
“Ya, come hire WildCats, they are ready to rock and roll, and they come from a variety of backgrounds so if you’re looking for something reach out to the carer services department, and will get you the information and get you in front of the students,” said Grant Langdon, Carer Services Assistant Director.
This was the last Job Fair this semester, however the semester schedule is updated and posted on the NMU Carer Services page. To be an employer at the next job fair as well can also be found on the Carer Services website.
