MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Friday in the Hedgcock building at NMU, a group of four highly successful alumni reflected on ways the University has helped them become the entrepreneurs they are today.
The speakers’ admiration for Marquette and NMU played many roles in their accomplishments, despite being in a small community. “There’s no place better than the U.P.,” said speaker Adam Kall, co-founder and director of science at Marquette aerospace company Kall Morris Inc. “We said if we founded a tech company, a space company in Marquette, that offers an environment to employees that they can’t find anywhere else.”
The panel included Justin Carlson, Adam Kall, Bazile Panek, and Dhruv C. Patel. The entrepreneurs offered tips for hopeful students taking similar paths as them, as well as advice for the faculty looking to help those students reach their goals.
This was part of the final day of the week-long Peak25 Conference at Northern Michigan University.
