HARRIS, Mich. (WZMQ) – Two males were arrested over the weekend on gun and firearm charges.
At approximately 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 16, deputies with the Delta County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for defective equipment near the Island Resort & Casino on US-2 & 41. According to a department Facebook post, three males were inside the vehicle.
The deputies, Hannahville Police Department officers, and Michigan State Police troopers from the Gladstone Post searched the vehicle. Officers found one passenger to be illegally in possession of a handgun and ammunition. They also found $13,503, approximately 197 grams of cocaine, 103 grams of suspected fentanyl, and 101 grams of ecstasy. Officers also discovered tabs of acid, ketamine, gabapentin pills, amphetamine pills, and psilocybin mushroom.
The driver and a passenger were lodged at the Delta County Correctional Facility on several drug- and gun-related charges. Their names are being withheld, pending arraignment.
