MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Applications are now open for the 3rd annual Marquette City Police Citizen’s Academy, which will be on Wednesday evenings from April 16 through May 21.
Participants will get an inside look into Marquette City Police equipment, training, processes, and history. Detective Cpt. Chris Aldrich the academy organizer said it’s a great way for them to connect with the community in a relaxed environment.
“A lot of times our involvements with community members are during an incident or result of some type of call that we’re on,” said Aldrich. “So this allows us to kind of relax a little bit and get to know the people, and them get to know the people that work at the Marquette Police Department.”
