MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Marquette Mountain Resort is hosting its first ever Winterfest February 7-9.
The festival will feature live music, deals at the bar, several races both up and down the mountain, and a lantern lit snowshoe hike to wrap everything up.
Marquette Mountain General Manager Kaet Johnson said the festival is about opening up the mountain for the community. “To showcase our mountain, to showcase Marquette and our terrain,” said Johnson. “You know we do races here all the time, but these races will be opened up to anybody in the community or the Midwest who wants to race in them, it’s not specifically to a certain team”
The Ore Dock Brewing Company will also be debuting a new beer at Winterfest, which attendees will have an opportunity to help name.
