MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The FAFSA form has been open since November now with a new system launched last year.
The new system connects directly to IRS tax information to make filling out the form easier and faster.
NMU’s Financial Aid Director Mike Rotundo recommends all current and incoming students fill out the form as soon as possible to help them plan their school year.
“We want to get students applying as soon as possible so that way they can understand the aid eligibility that they have compared to the cost of the school,” said Rotundo. “That way they can make the right decisions about if they can afford to attend school or what other types or resources they might need to be able to do that.”
