MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) -The Ore Dock Brewing Company is packed with thousands of vinyl, CDs, cassettes, and more for Geoff and Jon’s Record Show, now in its 11th year, for the Halloween weekend.
This event, which runs Thursday, Oct. 31 through Sunday, Nov. 3, features all types of media, including DVDs, VHS tapes, and over 10,000 records. This event started as a small side hustle: a four-hour vinyl show in the back of Ore Dock Brewery. Eleven years later, it’s a four-day event with a strong community behind it.
“All manner of media, but we’re really just interested in talking to people about the things that they love, so we love to talk about music and movies and T.V. and vintage video games and all that stuff,” said co-organizer Geoff Walker, the so-called “Vinyl Candy Man.”
There will also be live bands on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights with Saturday’s show being free. Thursday’s and Friday’s performances require tickets upon entry, but the vinyl show is always free and open to the public.
If you can not make it to this show, the next vinyl show is in March 2025. For more information about this or future vinyl shows, go to the Geoff and Jon’s Record Show Facebook page.
