ESCANABA, Mich. (WZMQ) – This Friday and Saturday, the Bonifas Arts Center is inviting guests to tap into their magical side for an evening of fun.
The annual Night of Magic and Wizardry event transports participants to Wolfsbane Academy, where they can purchase wands, learn to use potions and cast spells, and meet magical characters. Witches and wizards can also compete in a scavenger hunt, which takes them through the castle’s many unique rooms.
According to cast member Bradford Bender, this is the Bonifas’ seventh year hosting the Night of Magic and Wizardry. With hands-on activities and so much to see and do, he says it’s an adventure everyone can enjoy.
“We hava a lot of people that return, and it appeals to a real big age group,” said Bender. “It’s very interactive, and there’s a lot of detail. They spent hundreds of hours on all the rooms. They even decorate the paths to go to the rooms and stuff. They spent a lot of time and detail, and people really enjoy that.”
Thursday, October 24 is the final day to purchase tickets for the Night of Magic and Wizardry. Admission is $18 for those 12 and older and $12 for those 11 and younger. To purchase tickets for Friday, October 25, click here. Click here to purchase tickets for Saturday, October 26.
