IRON MOUNTAIN, Mich. – Beginning Tuesday, October 15, the 2024/25 COVID-19 vaccine will be available at no-cost to eligible Veterans at the Iron Mountain VA Medical Center.

Walk-in clinics will be held in the primary care waiting room from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, through Friday, October 18. No appointment is necessary to receive the vaccine.

Veterans are encouraged to receive a no-cost vaccine to protect themselves, their families, and the community from complications associated with COVID-19.

Veterans unable to attend the walk-in clinics can receive the 2024/25 COVID-19 vaccine, or the annual flu vaccine, from their PACT team provider at a regularly scheduled appointment.

Veterans can also receive their vaccines from a community provider. To find a community provider near you, visit www.va.gov/find-locations, enter your zip code, then click on community pharmacies to display options. Veterans should call ahead and confirm the community location offers no-cost COVID-19 vaccines to Veterans through this VA benefit and make sure to follow through with all documentation requirements.

To be eligible for a vaccine from a community provider, Veterans must be enrolled in VA health care and have received care from either a VA provider or a member of VA’s Community Care Network (CCN) within the past 24 months. To check eligibility, Veterans can call 800-MyVA411 (800-698-2411).

The 2024/25 COVID-19 vaccine will also be offered through the OGJVAMC Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOC) across the upper peninsula and northern Wisconsin during scheduled walk-in clinics. Appointments are required for CBOC clinics. Veterans can call 800-215-8262 or 906-774-3300, and press 2, then 2 to schedule an appointment through the regional clinic call center.
