SKANDIA, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Tuesday, West Branch Township Hall opened for the day at 7 a.m. for primary voting, making sure people are reminded and ready can is important to the west branch team.
Most voters are reminded either by the Hall’s sign out front, flyers scattered around town, or news channels. Organizers share that every election there is a steady amount who show up, this time 236 so far, however, it always depends on the type of election.
“We usually get our regulars you know being a small town a lot of times we know everyone, we’re not like Marquette, where you go and thousands of people and you don’t know everyone. Here you kinda recognize the same people who come in,” Mike Heightman, Voting Volunteer.
Voting does not end until 8 p.m., for information on future voting go to Michigan’s voter information center website and for the West branch area go to the homepage.
