ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Saturday, the annual 48th Ishpeming Gem and Mineral Show took place, at the Ishpeming Elk Club Lodge. Vendors came from all over to showcase all different forms of their Gem and Minerals.
Gems and Minerals were displayed in multiple ways like jewelry, raw stones, platers, bowls, and more. One vendor shared how he finds stones all across the nation and then makes them into handmade jewelry.
“I’ve come to the Ishpeming show before as a customer but this is the first time as a vendor I go to the Keweenaw mineral week and that’s a lot of fun also, The U.P. is a great place for a rock out,” David Kane, Ishpeming Gem and Mineral Show Vendor.
