ISHPEMING, Mich. (WZMQ) – On Saturday, in Ishpeming the Saint Rocco Saint Anthony society hosted its 125th Italian Festival. This event started in 1899 and has continued as a huge community and family event.
This event offers food, food trucks and homemade, fresh deserts, arts and crafts, tents to shop from, and live music. This free admission event has a little bit of everything, as they say if you’re not Italian, today you’re Italian.
“Ya I’ve been coming here for 30 years and it’s been my whole life so it’s great to be here and be with family all weekend and there’s so much great stuff happening,” Anthony Carlson, Saint Rocco Saint Anthony Society member.
Organizers would like to thank all supporters and elders who keep this event alive. For information or to participate in next year’s Italian Festival go to Ishpeming’s Italian Festival website.
