MANISTIQUE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The owners of a new Manistique business are looking to add a unique experience to the local bar scene.
Located at 375 Harborview Drive #5, The Boudrose Lounge offers a menu of craft cocktails and seasonal beverages. Many of the drinks feature Michigan liquors. With a regularly refreshed menu, there is often a new taste to try.
The family business is co-owned by Hannah Boudreau, her sister Lily, and their mother Lisa. Hannah says The Boudrose Lounge is a more relaxed type of establishment compared to many local bars.
“It started with me and my mom wanting to do something different in the community,” she said. “We saw this place and thought, ‘Oh, that would be a really cool little wine bar.’ Then we found that our liquor license was going to handle everything, including spirits, so we decided to not limit ourselves. A couple of bartending classes and a mixology class later, and here we are!”
Hannah says The Boudrose Lounge is a labor of love, with Boudreau family Easter eggs found everywhere.
“This bar was crafted by my dad and my uncle and some of my cousins,” she said. “It took them a while but we got a beautifully crafted bar, and the wood was given to them by my grandmother. We have been working really hard to get this open and share what we have to offer with the community.”
The Boudrose Lounge is open Saturday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. A grand opening will be held in the next few weeks, and those interested in attending can follow The Boudrose Lounge on Facebook for updates.
