MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – At the Wednesday Marquette Farmers Market, U.P. Gourmet Mushrooms shared its hidden gems in U.P.’s forests.
U.P. Gourmet Mushrooms is one of the largest indoor mushroom cultivation facilities in the U.P. Vendors have been participating in the Farmers Market for 4 years sharing what organizers call “magic”.
“I like the people you know, I like the people I like the community honestly Wednesday is usually one of my favorite markets cause it’s almost like a festival you know like it’s just fun, it’s a fun atmosphere,” Chad Kottke, U.P. Gourmet Mushroom representative.
The U.P. Gourmet Mushroom stand offers a wide selection of products, from hand-harvested mushrooms like lobster mushrooms to Hen of the Woods and Chanterelle mushrooms. The stand also provides ready-to-eat snacks like mushroom jerky and black trumpet candy. There is even a medicinal 9-mushroom blend that organizers say has health benefits.
