MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Blackrocks Brewery began construction recently on a new building to house its brewing system and extend its rooftop patio.
The pub brewery is currently running on a three-barrel system, but with the new building it will be expanding to seven.
Andy Langlois, one of the brewery’s owners, said the new system will also let them try new styles of beer to keep their menu fresh.
“With the larger system we are actually integrating a bunch of lager tanks which is really fun,” said Langlois. “We really enjoy lager beers here and it’s going to be able to incubate a bunch of different styles in that vein that we’re really excited about.”
Langlois said they hope to have the new system up and running sometime in November.
