MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – The Negaunee Historical Society arranged an educational chat about Negaunee’s history and to promote Negaunee’s history museum at the Campfire Coffeeshop. The discussion covers a wide variety of Negaunee’s history, from businesses to schools, organizers provided photos and documents
This event is held at the Campfire Coffee shop which coincidentally has a spot in history. The building of Campfire Coffee was originally the Miller Grocery store which was one of the first businesses in Negaunee.
“People walking down the street might stop in and check in to see what Negaunee’s history is all about,” Virginia Paulson, Negaunee Historical Member.
Organizers also share educating the town of Negaunee on its rich history is their favorite part of these events. These events will be recurring tomorrow Wednesday at 10 a.m. and Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Campfire Coffee on Iron Street.
