MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Downtown Marquette’s Ramada Inn is under new ownership.
H.J. Larson & Sons sold the hotel to MQT Collection6, LCC, an affiliate of Base Hospitality Group. Harlan J. Larson built the Downtowner Hotel in 1961 and later built the Ramada Inn on the same site. According to a press release, H.J. Larson & Sons is optimistic the new owners will “continue the tradition of quality hospitality that has been built over the past 63 years.”
MQT Collection 6, LLC plans to keep a majority of the employees currently at the Ramada Inn.
H.J. Larson & Sons maintains ownership over the Holiday Inn, which recently underwent a major remodeling project, and Hampton Inn in Marquette. A remodel is planned for the Hampton Inn in the future.
