MARQUETTE, Mich. (WZMQ) – Today the D.J. Jacobetti held it’s annual golf event that supports quality of life events for the veterans who reside in the home. Some veterans from home even attended and participants say that being able to support the veterans receive quality care is important to them.
The event started with an airhorn and 34 teams were off to hit the tees and enjoy some golfing.
“We have some of our members who came out for coffee and donuts and to engage with some of the golfers and its inspiring I knows for our members and our staff and those close to the Jacobetti to see the community show in force to support them.” says Ryan Engels, director of development and strategic engagement for Michigan veteran homes.
The event featured teams of four in a golf scramble, the day included breakfast items, lunch and prizes at the end of the day
