MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, Mich, (WZMQ) – Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is highlighting election security in the UP.
At today’s meet and greet in Marquette Township with UP clerks, Nessel talked about the safety of Michigander’s votes and the people who count them.
She said there’s been a recent spread of disinformation surrounding elections and that her department is working to ensure the safety of clerks and their families.
She also encouraged anyone with doubts about the election safety to get involved at the polls and see for themselves.
“For people who have their doubts, here’s what I say,” said Nessel. “Become a poll worker, and see how the system really works, and once you do, you will have faith in our system of elections. It really does work, your vote counts.”
Nessel continues her UP tour tomorrow in Manistique.
